On the Plate [OTP] holds private classes for groups of between one to twelve people. The classes can be categorised as demonstration, participatory and hands-on. There is the opportunity for as much or as little involvement as required for those participating. This can be decided in consultation with OTP taking into account the level of experience and expertise of the participants. Also whether it is a purely informative event or a very detailed ‘master class’. These can be held at the Food to Fuel Cucina or a range of venues including the participant’s work or home. Again this can be decided in consultation with OTP and would require site inspection for first time venues. The type of food featured in the classes is completely open and can be full discussed between OTP and the client. Children’s cooking classes are also available.
The key to all classes is discussion, education, demonstration and involvement. OTP is renowned for having participants ‘get their hands dirty’ and try things out, as this is an excellent way of learning. OTP can provide all ingredients and equipment as required. The client generally provides the venue, necessary services, crockery and cutlery.
Group and Corporate Cooking Classes

These can be held at a range of venues. However the size of venue and available services are the key factors in determining class sizes. Again this can be decided in consultation with OTP and would require site inspection for first time venues.

Live presentations are ideal for conventions and the launch of new products or in a public venue where live presentations are used as a means of show casing and selling products. These presentations can be undertaken in a wide range of venues depending on the audience and the objective. It is critical however that the content and type of activity is very much geared to the audience, theme and occasion. Presentations that Anna has conducted at conferences in the past have proven to be excellent team building exercises. In an environment where companies are searching for new and innovative ways to keep the attention, interest and motivation of their employees, this type of activity has been readily embraced.
Cooking demonstrations to sales teams using new and existing products based on recipes especially created for the occasion is just one example of how this has best been presented. The audience were then asked to develop new recipes using other products in the range that could be presented to their customers when back in the field. This provided a fun way to allow participants to exercise a new found creative flair and had them returning to the market with a much higher level of excitement, experience and confidence about show casing their products to their customers.
